Films I watched this week (Vol 2)
Discussion
Taken down to Blinded By The Light by my wife.
Always avoid if possible, “feel good films”.
Well, this was one of those and I thoroughly enjoyed and it took it for what it was!
Young Pakistani lad in 1987, living at home under the thumb of a domineering father discovers Bruce Springsteen which points him in the right direction and opens up his life.
Of course it’s ham but great with it!
7.8 racists/10 normal people just getting on with their lives

Crawl.
A hurricane floods Florida and the alligators are loose in the water. A woman and her dad are trapped in the basement of his house. It's a B-movie with better CGI. Extra point for the end credits song.
Angel Has Fallen.
Kermode said it was faint praise to call it the best 'Fallen' film as that franchise is a pretty low bar
Nick Nolte owns the film as Gerard Butler's dad. Some questionable police chase antics when you set up a road block, make sure there isn't a turn off in the road just ahead of it. But yes it is the best of the three films. PS. Stay for the credits scene.

Big Trouble in Little China, because I had a rubbish day and it never, ever fails to put a smile on my face. Just so much fun, and Kurt Russell is brilliant as the macho action hero - who is oblivious to the fact he's a complete moron that only ever succeeds with help or by accident.

A bit like Hong Kong Phooey. Edit: And Inspector Gadget, now I come to think about it.

Kim Cattrall looks lovely in this. Great fun film.
Absolutely love BTILC
It's in my top ten 80s films, and that's stiff competition.
