Huracan Performante Spyder: Geneva 2018
Want your Performante experience with some fresh air exhilaration? Here's the car!
That power figure equals the coupe, while the 35kg weight saving compares favourably with that car's 40kg. Problem being that the Spyder is of course working against a much chunkier kerbweight as standard: Lamborghini claims a dry weight for this car here of 1,507kg, against 1,382kg for the normal Performante. As such performance has taken a small hit, with 62mph taking a couple of tenths more at 3.1 seconds and 124mph coming up in 9.3 seconds (against 8.9 for the coupe). What an outrage. Top speed is identical at 202mph.
Like the standard Spyder, the Performante can lower its roof in 17 seconds at up to 30mph. With the roof down, two movable fins emerge from the folding roof casing and "continue the roofline from seatbacks to the rear of the car". Lamborghini also promises "perfect acoustic comfort" in the Performante, allowing conversation even at high speed.
Orders for the Spyder are being taken now, with first deliveries due over here in the summer. When's that Pista Aperta coming?
