Where next for the for the 1,180hp Danish hypercar? More power and more aero, obviously

Back when PH drove the Zenvo TS1 GT at the end of last year, two things were clear: one, that the car most definitely did have potential and, two, there was still quite a lot of development work to do. Undeterred, the team is back at Geneva with the latest evolution of its twin-supercharged (hence TS) hypercar: the TSR-S.

Designed to fit in between the TS1 GT and the dedicated TSR track car, this car said to combine "phenomenal on-road capabilities with ultimate exclusivity." Those capabilities come in the form of a yet further evolved engine, the twin supercharged 5.8-litre V8 now making 1,194hp and more than 811lb ft; again using the seven-speed dog-ring paddleshift, 0-124mph in 6.8 seconds is claimed.

However, the focus for the TSR-S has been much more on aerodynamic advancement, with its crowning glory the Zenvo Centripetal Wing. The S creates three times as much downforce as the GT, with the wing described as central to that by Zenvo. With two rotational axes, it can be both an air break and a cornering stabiliser; moreover, because of the amount of rotation available, Zenvo says it can adapt to provide "the optimum amount of cornering grip at any speed", as opposed to simply relying on more speed for more downforce. Zenvo even says the high pivot point of the wing "allows it to act as an additional rear anti-roll bar", further improving traction and reducing the chance of a spin. Good to know with 1,200hp...

The fancy spoiler is joined in the aerodynamic overhaul by a new front bumper and splitter, revised diffuser, and a rear air scoop said to be inspired by LMP1 prototypes.

Additional improvements are detailed less comprehensively but sound equally important, Zenvo promising a reworked rear diff and traction control system. Again, they sound useful with twice the power of a BMW M5. The TSR-S is apparently set to deliver "an unrivalled performance on the road, for a genuinely unique hypercar experience."

Given Zenvo makes just five cars a year, it'll be a little while before any prospective customers get their hands on a TSR-S. As for a price, best use the £1.2m a TS1 GT costs and work your way upwards. Considerably upwards. Finally, if you're taken by the spec of this Zenvo for your TSR-S, that paint is 'Laguna Roja', said to be inspired by the freshwater Red Lagoon in Chile. See, every day's a school day and all that.
