In one of the least surprising review verdicts of the year, it turns out the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is Really Quite Good. Who'd have thought it, eh? Matching the car's talents for near-tedious levels of predictability is the gushing response from some quarters to the RS - yes, we quite like a racy 911 at PH. Bet you hadn't noticed that, either...

The GT3 RS is so wild, so exciting, so off-the-scale, want-one desirable that discussion has been of little else for the past couple of days, so there couldn't really be anything as Pic of the Week this Friday. Fortunate then that Porsche has a comprehensive suite of GT3 RS images, with a selection of colours and specs from the Nurburgring launch.

Here's something you might not have expected though - it isn't just the yellow car available for your new wallpaper. Because Porsche brought along every generation of GT3 RS to the launch of the new one, it only seemed right to feature the original alongside the very latest. So if you don't fancy a yellow 991 on your desktop, there's a 996 RS (with the red graphics) there to spruce up a display as well. Two for the price of one for this week's POTW then - get downloading now!

To be fair, very little is as good as a 911 for remotely similar money. Not enough stories on PH IMO.

Well yes they are cracking cars but when 911s get 4-5 amount of stories in 1 week yet when the replacement of one of the best selling cars in the UK gets announced there is no story takes the piss a bit

I'd prefer a pic of that rather lovely 2.7RS "historical bygone from a previous era" than this modern irrelevant investment thing.

This is PH though so a boggo hatch isn't of any interest. I am sure What Car? would have creamed their collective pants though.
