But looks wise I don't think it can be faulted.

Not sure I agree - you;ve got to go some way up the range before it looks anywhere near decent

I think my post yesterday might have sparked some of the negativity, but I do actually quite like in the right spec.
Its like anything everyone has a different view. I personally dont like the Velar looks wise - looks like a RR Sport had some sort of Hollywood surgery including a severe face lift (ie pulled back). Most people like it though I think. I would take a RR Sport over it without question but to be fair I wouldnt want either personally.

Thanks Pelz, long time lurker, first time poster.

Managed to speak to Rob who progressed my application within the hour. I now have secured a the 2.0 TB Super 4dr Auto (on 6+23 at £249 a month which in this climate, is a good deal). Looking forward to receiving my car in the next 3 weeks now.

I've gone for the same! He told me there were two cars at that spec so looks like we snapped them up! Many thanks indeed Pelz.

FYI just be aware that MY2016 won't have Android auto or have the 5/5/5 servicing either I think

Could live without those (no servicing included anyway) but can they really by MY2016 cars? Has someone just found them down the back of the sofa where they've been lost for two years? :-)

I assume they mean it's the model released in 2016 rather than one that's been sat on an airfield for 2 years.

Something felt slightly fishy to me on that deal. I put an application in as soon as I saw it on the forum. I was also told I had the last one in white. Then I got told the funding for it had been pulled and the price went up, then by some "miracle" they had managed to get funding back just for my order only. Last thing I had about 6pm was an email saying oh actually we're sorry we have non in stock now in white and I'd need to pay over £300p/m for a metallic vehicle. wobble
Had the same experience with nationwide a while back over a c class estate. I now avoid them no matter how good the deals seem to be. Also select are just the same when ever I’ve been close to going with a car through them.
Lightning can strike thrice..... something very fishy indeed going on at Nationwide. The Mercedes A180d AMG Line offer shared on Friday fell through for me today too - despite me being accepted for 'one of the last white ones' at the time. No sign of any doubt on Friday though when they accepted my application online and completed the process with a recorded phone call for the finance. It took the nice people at Nationwide until 4pm today to respond to my multiple calls and emails for confirmation following my concern being raised on here about the offer being phantom. Time pressure was ramped up because I sent a cancellation email to 21st Century for my well-progressed order for an A180d Sport after a beer on Friday night too (trying to salvage as much of my broker fee as possible before I went over 14-days).

Anyway - we live and learn. Sometimes some things are too good to be true - and Nationwide either have a very liberal attitude to honest advertising or a pretty poor order tracking/management system; either way I was left feeling very disappointed with the outcome. Incidentally, with their apology came the offer of (what I suspect was the real deal all along) an A180d Sport for about 25 quid p.m more than what I had ordered through 21st. Needless to say I went back to them with cap in hand and with a mouthful of humble pie had to retract my cancellation - something they weren't actually able to confirm at 5pm as the director was out of office!

Sometimes the grass isn't actually greener.

My A Class has now been collected by BSA. They want £180 odd to cover one alloy wheel and a missing tyre inflating kit. Lots of other things were let go apparently but the car was like new!
How much of that was the wheel?

My E class goes back in a few weeks and the wheels are a mess - the tyres are so low profile and the wheel face is so flush with the edge of the tyre (even with a protecting strake) that they get scraped. I've given up with them now. Personally I don't think they're fit for purpose.

I was under the impression that it was about £90 a wheel?

Previous generation E-class with the optional 19's by any chance?
Mine are the same - I've never kerbed a wheel in my life until this car and they're all battered now.

A friend of mine Mark Conway owns 21st - ask for him he should be able to sort you out.

I’ve got no complaints with 21st and Mark has handled my enquiries very well. It is Mark I await confirmation from this morning that my order wasn’t cancelled (which one of his team doesn’t think it was).

Yep, they are an utter bd. Basically you can't go near a kerb with them (by kerb I mean things like lawn edging in my garden - about two inches high).

The tyres are on the upper lower limit of that the rims will take, hence offering no protection. I'll be giving BCA a hard time about them and I fully intend to drag this one out. The car is otherwise unmarked.

Sorry to hear that. I've not had any bad news about my order yet. I've paid the fee and my account states that the car is due for delivery to the dealer on 15th November. Fingers crossed mine doesn't go tits up too.

Unrelated really, but I ordered an S90 a few months ago from Nationwide. Went through the whole process and had delivery date set, only then to receive a slightly blasé email saying "Oops it's actually an Irish spec car hope this is ok?". There was no explanation of what this meant, but after researching it turns out it's missing some fairly minor things over UK spec (gear shift paddles, electric boot, etc). Nothing I was particularly bothered about, but they weren't really apologetic at all and offered nothing in the way of goodwill, so I cancelled out of indignation and managed to find the UK spec at a dealer for the same price with no fees.

The lassie I dealt with was really good though - friendly and efficient - and wouldn't necessarily hesitate to use them again.

Finally checked this thread after getting my lease in August, hoping no better deals had appeared biggrin

Looks like I got a decent deal compared to all the recent posts, GTD DSG 5dr with metallic on a 3+35 at £280 inc VAT

Historically what deals have people had or seen on 3 series tourers? I'm looking at a 320d M sport tourer but there seems to be nothing around. Best I've found is roughly:

3+35 £370 and 8k miles.

That is quite frankly ste.

I know it’s pcp but if anybody is after an x6, I gave up on our A4 Avant lease after 34 weeks and still no building. Build date slipped again.
Anyway, used a broker, uknewcars, spoke a nice chap who actually advised rather than just wanted my dollars!
To sum up - I was asking about the x6 40d - he reckoned he could get me an M50d cheaper due to the huge amount of £ bmw were chucking in (7500 vs 2500) and the higher GFV.
That and a £10k discount (best I could find) gets you into a £77k list ( I added some stuff - this is my mid life crisis/treat) for £59k.
4 years pcp could have been less than £600 a month if I had more willpower.£1k deposit.
Very happy, car due Feb, thought I’d share.
