400 SE door removal ( partial)
Discussion
Hallo,
Have to do some word on the wiring in the door of my 430se wedge.
But acces to the wires in the door is simple. But I have a few extra wires to go in and for that reason the door has to move backward 20/30 cm.
According to the manual it is just releassing two nuts at the front and 2 bols at the rear and then slide backwards.
Can all internal parts stay in the door. ???
Any tips pointers much apriciated,.
Regards

Hi Hans,
I recently fitted a central locking kit to my 400 so had a number of extra wires to run into each door. At the front of the door it seems there is just a slot the height of the door your only "challenge" is getting your new cables through the rubber grommet located above the door hinge, I found enough slack in the window motor cables to use these the pull the extra cables though the grommet.
Make sure that you new loom follows the existing one and has some plastic or nylon cable protection to prevent damage where it passes through the door.
