Hookers, according to my friend. Coke is obtainable though.
Judging by the number of our fleet of rental vehicles being seized by the police at the moment, the County Lines network is still in full operation, but with less traffic on the road they are a bit easier to spot and intercept.

Speaking to one of the forces recently, the street price hasn't increased either.

Try Rustins. https://www.rustins.ltd/ Their paints are excellent, and they deliver.

Just purchased some of their Matt Black (under specialist paints) to repaint an oak framed garage. It went on really well. They're bound to have something to suit your needs.
Thanks for the hint, I've used Rustins stuff before for kitchen wood worktops and it was very good.

I'm patching up the tops of the fence where the Bird's feet and weather have taken the paint off, as well as going over the bits where the wood has shrunk back to reveal unpainted overlaps. So it's Cuprinol Silver Copse or bust.
I have already done about 15 of the 40 or so panels touching them up and they look as good as new.

Anti-freeze, I changed the heater matrix on the e39 last week (what a bd of a job!!) and needed some to top up, there are four motor factors within a few miles of my house and they're all shut and petrol stations don't seem to stock it anymore. I found a lorry spares place on a local industrial which was open luckily but I had to buy a gallon of the stuff even though I only needed about a litre.
I had same issue, I found it in Asda on the shelves no issue.

They also had Carplan clear colour antifreeze/ Coolant in litre bottles half price which is compatible with all coolant types.

Sun Loungers smile

Took me a bit of time but have 2 ordered and on their way!
Will they get here by Tuesday, just in time for the rain to come?
Yes, yes they will. They have just been dropped off by DHL. smile

I've set one up in the front room so I can admire it whilst the rain pours down outside! laugh

- A shed (or at least someone to sort out the garden in preparation for building it)

- A motorbike or at least doing my tests to allow me to ride one!

Sandtex Ultra Smooth Masonry paint - Black.

Screwfix listed it but wouldn't allow delivery or click & collect. Eventually managed to get a new 5L tin when B&Q reopened.

The new iPad Pro...

My old 9.7” Pro only lasts about 3 hours on a charge now, so I thought I’d upgrade. I got it on the day it was released, so it’s just over four years old. Gets used every day, and recently it’s been hammered more than ever. You can watch the battery percentage dropping!

No stock of the 11” 128GB Pro in the UK seemingly. Even the Apple store has been quoting early May for weeks.
Finally! I’ve checked the Apple Store Daily, and the date kept slipping, but PC World showed the Space Grey one being in stock yesterday. I would prefer the silver one, but their online chat said they weren’t expecting any stock for at least nine weeks, so went with The grey one, which arrives today.

They were my favoured source anyway, as I get a good discount there through work. I’ve also been offered £180 for my old 9.7” Pro through one of the phone recycling sites, so I’ve paid a whisker over what I bought the old one for!

We were wondering about this the other day. Have all the dealers got jobs as delivery drivers? Or are all the users just taking their daily runs very seriously?

Finally got some fence paint!
Popped into my local Homebase (Newark) which has just opened up again. Bingo!

That’s tomorrow’s job sorted.

Something that’s not going to see me jump off Tower Bridge, but a watch strap.
The strap on my wife’s “best” watch broke.
When I say best, I’m not talking platinum Patek Philippe, it’s one with two faces, for dual time zones, that I bought her in Philadelphia PA, the first time that I took her to the U.S.
She loves it, and the battery of her snide Gucci had expired, so I gave her my razor thin Skagen that I keep as a back up for my day to day Titan.
Sods Law, within a week, the Skagen’s battery died, so with all the places that sell watch straps closed, the only chance I’ve got is to put on my Covid mask and go to Tesco in the hope of buying a battery, OR, get her a two bob watch in Tesco, then get her a new strap if and when the shops ever re-open.

Genuine question, are you happy with the original iPad pro lasting 4 years? I'm not sure I'd be best pleased with that.

I’m more than happy to be honest. Battery degradation is to be expected, and it is still a brilliant bit of kit. The screen is so much better than my wife’s iPad Air, and the additional speakers make it a much better device for watching media.

It gets used daily for at least a couple of hours (much more at weekends) without fail, and far more than that over the last few weeks whilst I’ve not been well. It cost £499 I think, so if I look at a daily cost, it works out at about 34p, or 22p taking into account the £180 recycling offer.

Compare that to my iPhone and it’s very cheap. I’ve got an iPhone XS 256gb which I bought outright for £1,149 and I’d expect to change it after two years (so September time this year). Current recycling offer is £380. Works out at £1.57 per day or £1.05 with recycling.

I did look at getting the battery replaced, but in the current situation that’s not going to be easy, hence buying the new one.

To summarise, my wife's watch strap broke and I can't get another. I lent her one of mine but the battery went flat, I'll go to Tesco and buy a battery or a cheap watch to keep her going.
How's that Frank?
