Nice vid, car sounds great. Was the engine getting heat soak and backing off the power when you came into the pits?

Thanks

Heat soak was an occasional issue that day. Pretty sure the 410 I’m getting won’t suffer the same issue.

Nope, definitely won't suffer heat soak with the 410..

Difficult with the Exige V6 as the ECU has built in tech to prevent this. I think there was a safety issue found in another platform and they added some measures to adjust. The 410 and 430 has rev matching. Not sure about the 380

I know how to H&T perfectly well thanks - been doing it in my GT3 for years, but the pedal position, narrow accelerator pedal & my fairly small feet make it awkward in the Exige.

I have a wider accelerator pedal plate on order.

You can blip in the 380, but as above, it's just awkward for me. Those with bigger (but not massive) feet may find it easier.

How strange to have such a sports/track car that doesn't let you blip.

It may be it won't blip with the clutch in, OK of you double de-clutch whilst heel & toeing, which is what I do

I was there in my M3 that day and it was scorchio! Not surprised you had hear soak , first time I had a coolant warning light come on and oil temp went to 130 degree c. so had to back off a few times. Nice video , shame you didn’t get any of my car .

Was much better in the afternoon, the morning sessions were a joke with reds and stoppages think I only managed 10 laps all morning.

Ooo, can we do the HnT (rev match) versus DDC debate again please? biggrin

I'll open the batting...DDC, what on earth for?

That's interesting. Is the rev matching activated all the time (it's not in my 410 !), or do you have to be in Sport or Race mode ?

there is no rev matching on the 410 or 430, so dont waste your time looking for it!

I have no problem Heel and Toeing in mine ... no rev matching ... a 9/19 car.

But all the controls in the Exige 410 benefit from gentle inputs !
