Sounds like you have a blockage or partial blockage in the plate heat exchanger or possibly a sensor issue.

try just pressing and holding the reset button

When you say powering on and off do mean the mains switch?

Not the same model as yours but an ariston combi, would only take so many goes at resetting. Turning off leaving for 5mins would clear the code.

Tried doing that mate in several different ways. For example powering down, holding the button and Turing on or leaving it on and holding down the button. Just can’t for the life of me remember what the engineer did last time banghead

I’ve also tried bumping up the water pressures bit to see if that was the cause.

Thanks, looking at the troubleshooting guide my combi doesn’t seem to want to play ball. Unless I am misreading it I just cannot seem to get it to re-light.

When I completely power it off from the mains and turn it back on a pump of some sort runs for a brief moment whilst displaying d 65 code. This then goes blank and I then proceed to turn the on/off switch on the unit to the on position where the a03 error code displays straight away.

Can’t see one of those underneath it I don’t fancy opening the boiler up, no doubt I’ll end up breaking something whistle

Got someone coming out in the morning, hopefully he’ll be able to sort it and I’ll update this with the resolution.

Not sure to be honest as nothing appears to be working at the minute due to not being able to clear this code.

Boiler fixed (temporarily), engineer said that the gas valve is sticking which is preventing the reset to occur.

All he appeared to do is take the front off, disconnect some spade connectors off the igniter and then reset the unit.

Now just hoping it holds out for a while until we get the house remodelled and a new boiler is purchased.

I have a newer ariston boiler. So far it works faultlessly. It was installed 3 years ago. The wifi thermostat (ariston net) that comes with it is really good.
