Goodwood motorsport tickets on sale for 2022

Get up close to the action at Goodwood's sell-out events next year; prices start at £44 | PROMOTED

If the sound of flat-chat racing cars is fading fast in your memory - hopefully along with any remnants of tinnitus - then you may wish to secure yourself tickets for next year's motorsport events at Goodwood.

The Goodwood season opener, the 79th Members' Meeting, is scheduled between the April 9 and 10. This of course is exclusive to Goodwood Road Racing Club Members and Fellows, and if you wish to join the Goodwood Club, the annual subscription is £43 for a host of year-round benefits. In addition to admission to Members' Meeting, you'll also receive a Fellowship badge, annual pack and access to exclusive video content and competitions.

For many, the biggest events of the year are Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. The dates for the Festival of Speed are June 23 to 26, with a variety of tickets and packages available. Next year will promise unmissable action, the ability to get up close to the cars and drivers, along with new and old machinery racing up the famous Goodwood Hillclimb. Prices range from £44 for a Thursday adult ticket to £177 for a four-day pass.

The Goodwood Revival returns to the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit between September 16 and 18, with prices starting at £64 for a Friday adult ticket; a three-day ticket will cost you £205. As usual, kids 12 years and under get into all Goodwood motorsport events for free with half-price tickets available if you're aged between 13 and 21 years old.

It's also worth bearing in mind that any Festival of Speed tickets booked before the March 31 2022 benefit from the UK Government's 'creative industry tax relief.' This reduces the VAT element down to 12.5 per cent.

If your interests go beyond motorsport, then Goodwood has something for you, too. There are couple of new events next year that begin with Goodwoof, from May 28 to 29, which is "all things dog", and Eroica Britannia, from the August 6 to 7, based around vintage cycling at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

Remember that tickets for Goodwood's motorsport events do sell-out in advance so booking early is highly recommended. Find out more at goodwood.com/motorsport.

FoS is undoubtedly the best motoring weekend of the year, anywhere in the world.

There’s nowhere else with such a range of prepared and running machinery, drivers, and an open paddock; great to see it back to full capacity and hopefully with a full complement of overseas cars joining in the fun too. driving

Hmmm

On the fence for this one.

Live only 40 minutes (on a normal day - 2 hrs on FoS days!) away and went every year from 2011-2018 but the last one in 2018 felt like there was less to look at when not looking at the climb. The manufacturer stands seemed less interesting (Ford usually have fun things to do such as ziplines & slides) and imo there were just fewer new cars on display that piqued my interest.

Still I might be tempted to go next year after a three year hiatus and if I can get a hotel booked (hahaha, like that's likely) or get a camper for the weekend it could still be a good craic.

When is the best day to go for hill climbing action? Friday? Saturday? Sunday? Is it worth paying the £53pp extra for grandstand seating, in order to get a better view?
