Speed camera flashed me but wasn't speeding?
Discussion
Hi everyone, fairly new to this forum so hope you are all well! On my way to work this morning there was a Gatso speed camera to be specific and its 30 mph limit road so as usual a drop down to about 29 mph but as I was half way through the camera... BANG BANG! The bugger flashed me but I maintained a steady speed of 29 mph? Just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else and if anything will come of it? There was a few cars behind me just past the camera and other cars on the opposite side of road but just worrying for no reason probably lol. Thanks everyone.

Cameras do go wrong, I passed one the other week (A13 in east London) that was flashing a near-stationary queue of traffic every couple of seconds. Queue the other way too so not coming from speeding traffic that side.
Yes I’ve seen similar. Traffic light camera flashed everything that moved.samoht said:
I've certainly triggered an original-type Gatso while driving in the opposite direction. No fine, since they original units were only type-approved for rearwards-facing use. So if there was traffic going the other way at the time, that would explain it.
I think they still are. Truvelos on the other hand only work facing the traffic.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
