993 Ruf Turbo R
Alex Sharp samples the delights of the 993 Ruf Turbo R
Discussion
Good write up and pleased to see that you know your place
"On track, other than Ultimas, Radicals and perhaps extreme Caterhams, not much this side of a full Group C racer is going to keep up with an experienced driver on an open circuit where this beast can really stretch its legs."
Seems like a bit of a bargain at 36k!

Cheers Dom, got to try and remember what I said now. Oh yes here we go:
'He', me, actually paid nothing for this article to be posted, and I expect the people involved may be slightly offended as it questions their integrity.
I know Alex and he has wanted to do an article on my car for some time. As my thoughts have been turning to selling the car, it gave us little time for him to do this.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the read!

Cheers Simon.
It should also be noted that there isn't much harm in a reviewed car being sold through an article, as long as it's an independent article. (And Dr Alex is pretty fair and honest when he reviews stuff).
Happens all the time, especially with Specialist Cars of Malton stock...

Nah. Only poseurs would be seen dead in this Vitara version of the performance world.
Utterly boring and tedious vehicle with no driver involvement or indeed character.
More excitement to be gleened from a Matsui turntable playing "We Are Smurfs" {featuring Grand Fatha 'B1tch' Abraham X-man Fang & Snoop Doggy Innit?} at 33RPM in reverse and trying to discern the rather distressing Satanic subliminals.
Give me an RS any time.
Now then, where's me eyeliner?

I feel i missed a smiley off the end of the post. I wasn't suggesting anything below board was going on, just seemed a bit odd.
Alec (done lots of business with Nigerians so know all about bribes) Prior
Yes, young Doric, it does sound firm unt fruity, does it not?
However, I'll wait to see how the Kaiser conducts himself round our premiere circuit this summer before contemplating any such outrageous suggestions.
You may have flown the nest of truth and wisdom, seeking salvation neath the violent brutality of Chevrolaic fuel spitting but there are those at bomber command who stand by the notion of Richtoven's honour.
Btw, got my Lexian ass roundly toasted recently in the wake of an SL55AMG - mamma mia; acceleration? I looked faintly ridiculous as Cheshire Clone 1138 hit light speed. A truly magnificent spectacle and yes, a resonant boom worthy of Odin's hall itself.
Er, pork; oh yes. I've given up driving it. I just zymol it now. But I feel a torrent of hatred swelling which might just suffice for an inspired flight of daemonic intent.
Sometimes, one just needs the rush and by the jibbet of the thrice spurned horned one, that moment approacheth.
Badgers, on guard.

I'll be selling tickets for the spectacle.

I'm also thinking of buying up the publishing rights to the transcrpt of the in-car commentary provided by DeR during his bombing runs.
