Splendid as usual Chris! I used to prefer 1/35 scale when making dioramas but switched to 1/48 with my old narrow boat for the same reason, 70 feet of narrow boat in 1/35 would have been immense in a dio with scenery.
Luckily I found some old Fujimi (I think) figures in 48th that let me do the dio
I love the way you set up your'satisfaction guaranteed'
Please keep us up with your progress, I don't often comment but they are usually quite enthralling for any modeller.

Rare as rocking horse st. How on earth did you get hold of that & the others you have in your collection?
I hang about with some very dubious characters I've got all bar last year's one since 2007 + a signed Alonso Renault in the same style. I know people who have collections going back to the early '90's...

s I said what's rare/special about it?
I like them for what they are, nice models that are in pleasant display case, and are signed by the driver. They also happen to have cost me the price they were sold for on the night. To answer your question.
1. They are the table centres from the Autosport Awards night.
2. Tickets for the awards are expensive unless you are on the guest list.
3. You can only buy them there, that evening, unless you want to get one on the open market.
4. They are Limited Edition (160 this year) and sell out as soon as they go on sale.
5. They are signed by the driver. This year LH and Sir Stirling Moss.
6. You want to get one on the open market it's unlikely you'll pay less than £450, assuming it's the one you're after. If you wish to buy one tomorrow you're looking at £800 +.
7. People like me don't sell.

Looks like a Minichamps.
How much do they cost on the evening?
Think that it is but not 100% sure. How much do they cost on the evening?
Bad I know but I can't remember if it was £300 or £350 this year
They were £150-200 for a long time and you could easily pick one or two spares up after dinner (one per table for which there is a card to fill in if you want it/get the card before someone else on the table gets it!) but in recent years more people have twigged that you are highly unlikely to ever lose a penny and there are a lot of people who are willing to pay you enough to make a case for buying two and selling one to pay for the one you retain.

Ive had these for years in my collection, not for sale but are they worth a lot ? JPS Lotus Elite towing F1,Carlsberg Fiat X1/9 towing powerboat .Corgi 1/36
To be frank I hope they are worth zip! I had both of these as a kid, thinking about it they might both be in a big box in my mum's loft - that's if she hasn't given them to my niece.
