Right, the story is this: Been seeing a girl since July although knew her prior to this for some time. Her Christmas presents are about sorted but, in January it is her 30th birthday. Now, I want to get it right without being OTT. I was thinking Jewellery but did`nt know if this was "too much too soon" despite the fact it is a landmark birthday?

Like a typical male I just don`t bloody know what to do (and other advice sort so far has left me still wondering), so ladies of PH - what are your thoughts?

Rob

Oh and lads, your input is welcome too!

As long as it's not an engagement ring, jewellery should be fine biggrin

Nothing wrong with jewellery IMHO.

Just make sure its the type she likes. My other half knows I only wear silver, white gold or platinum and quite simple and discreet, so he sticks to that.

Nothing says I love you quite like the "Angry Fist of God" or the VIOLATOR dildo.

What about a weekend away somewhere rather than a gift.

She's a woman; whatever you do will be wrong, wrong, wrong, but you won't know about it until your first real argument, and then it will be used as a weapon, a tool, to mentally castrate you. biggrin

I see your predicament, so hedge your bets...

Women love jewellery AND sweets, so combine the two without getting too serious:

And if that fails to hit the spot youve saved yourself a fortune for your subscription to match.dotcom in February wink

The jewellery was`nt going to involve a ring or be of huge cost or extravagance. If I gauge it right it should`nt appear "too much" I suppose.

Just need to take more attention of what she already has between now and then.

ETA: I knew I should`nt have asked this here despite the few sensible answers so far!

The important thing to remember is that girls love surprises. Look her deep in the eyes... and punch her in the throat. She couldn't be more surprised! biggrin

Wtf?! rofl

Anyway, I like the idea of taking her away somewhere, make it something memorable. What's the budget anyway?

Depends on your budget.

However - something like this will ALWAYS go down well wink

It doesn't say anything that can be read into (ie not the heart one), screams good taste, and has not 'yet' been copied by the High Street stores (unlike the Tiffany heart).

We just love that little blue box biggrin

£70 for a keyring? Seems excessive - would rather buy something else for that sort of money.

What about a not gay Cliff Richard calendar featuring these classic poses.
