Is that the same soulbreaker as farming Obsidian Warbeads in Nagrand, or pirates ears in the Borean Tundra?

I spent a lot of time once I hit 80 doing that stuff hehe

Don't think I was around back then! smile

Its a big dragon dude thing flying around the vales and to break its shield and kill it for its mount you need 10 skyshards which are epic item drops off anything in the zone, so they are rare! yes

I'v managed 3 so far haha

If you need better iLevel gear, I would recommend running the Headless Horseman daily that is on at the moment. Depending on your class, some decent rings drop:

One of mine was from the cache you get after the dailies too, also apparently the rare elites in Vales can drop them inside the bags you can get off them.

Finally got a character to max level.

Getting a bit bored of stabbing level 28 alliance players in the face now so what do I do next?
There are a load of dailies you can do for various factions.
Finishing off the quests in Dread Wastes will also get you decent gear.
Run the 'Arena of Annihilation' as it has a guaranteed 450 ilvl weapon from the quest.
Also random scenarios can drop 463 gear from the cache.
Headless Horseman drops rings for most classes and a plate helm and agility weapon i think?

Thought I would go fish up this thread from the depths.

Anyone on here still playing MoP? I took a bit of a break (6 months) after it came out due to being a bit burnt out.
Although I've moved my character from Ravenholdt to Outland and actually seeing other people playing is nice for a change.

Quite enjoying the new content seems to be plenty of stuff added in the past two patches, just trying to get my Gnome Holy Priest
geared up for raiding again since I haven't done any since Dragon Soul.

I am still playing, still on Moonglade, still playing the same old Shammy I started in 2006!

Working through the content gently as I don't have much spare time these days and I'm no longer raiding 2-4 times a week. My guild is still world top 500 I think for some kills smile

Still playing, still raiding.
We're struggling a little with the latest raid though (Throne of Thunder), difficulty seems too high for casual raiding guilds like mine...
Thoroughly enjoying the content and the storytelling on the Isle of Thunder etc though.
My DK is 4th best geared on the server last time i checked smokin

I stopped just before ToT came out. We cleared the normal modes and had done some heroics. I can't point to one particular thing that caused me to leave the game, it was a death of a thousand cuts.

I'm holding out hope for Wildstar to recapture my MMORPG mojo and spending time playing Torchlight 2 whilst I wait for a beta invite.

I miss playing an MMO, but all I really enjoyed doing was raiding and that took up too much time!! frown

My account is probably worth a small fortune, some preetty rare mounts on it! biggrin

My and my other half started playing MoP just after 5.1 came out. No raiding, no pressure to be online at a specific time.

We formed our own guild just to have somewhere to put stuff and it's nearly level 20 just from the two of us... we're serial altoholics though.

We've done some LFR which is comedy faceroll. Bit daily-quested out at the mo though so playing 4 alts as and when I feel like them.

MoP is the casual release!

MoP has been mixed so far. The dailies were utterly insane to start off with, and made it all feel very grindy. Admittedly I didn't start MoP until around the time the Terrace raid opened, but I enjoyed running LFRs whenever I felt like it, rather than having to commit specific hours. Less good was the fact that my Paladin STILL hasn't had gloves or helm drop in any LFR for the last 4 months.

ToT is in danger of being a killer raid. I watched a semi-pro 25-man group faceroll it in just over a week, and they could have done it inside that had they played every night. Some of the bosses were 1-shotted even though they barely knew the mechanics. Then some of them ran a 10-man alt raid. I think it took 3 weeks before they downed Horridon. To have a 2nd boss which is so crushingly hard, is ridiculous.

Waiting times on my realm/battlegroup (Nagrand) are usually over 45 minutes for ToT, only to find you are dumped in at the last boss again. With 4 characters, that could be over 30 hours a week playing LFR, with more than half the time being spent in a queue. After having played quite a lot of Pandaria and generally being a fan of it, I find it feels a bit "been there, done that" now.

I play.
Have done since December 2006.
Always been on Lightbringer, currently in the guild Evolution of Old.
As of last night we are 7/12 in ToT.
Character name is "Draepray"

P.S. Horridon got nerfed. And the key to the encounter is IMO dispelling asap.

We're 3/12 and Tortos is proving to be a guild killer frown
Horridon was a bh, but we ground it down. Agreed that it's all about the dispells.
Any tips for the tortoise before my guild implodes nerd

You need your best ranged raider to be on turtle kicking duty.
Turtle kicking is the key imho.
Keeping the bat tanker at high health is also crutial.

However, i was laughed at by the rest of my guild when i suggested that Tortos was one of the easiest fights. biggrin
