Scottish Motor Racing Knockhill

Headed up to knockhill this weekend to take some pictures, haven't used my camera in quite a while and had nothng else to do. Weather was usual for knockhill but it made for a few interesting moments on the track. The minis and legends had some good racing which i decided just to watch rather than take pictures.

james did great in the first race starting 6th and finishing 4th in his first race and in the second race starting 4th was running in 3rd and on place to finish there when the gearbox went

Carol Brown also racing chris knox's old mini rather nice livery on this finished 7th in all 3 races

What happened there? Theres not a clear explanation on the club racing site other than they seemed to be side by side and somehow touched?
