One of the warders said she has known them to get a 'Blackberry' up there, some big arseoles in prison eh?
Why don't the prison authorities just put in place a mobile signal blocker covering each block?
This would immediately reduce the influence that those inside have on those outside..or is that too obvious under a socialist government?
How would they get the drugs in then?
The old fashioned way, bent screws hehe

Monday 17 May
9:00pm - 10:00pm
ITV1 London
2/2

A compelling and candid look at life behind the locked doors of one of Europe's largest prisons.
Given unprecedented access to the London jail, this two-part documentary follows the frenetic lives of inmates and prison officers who make up this complex, noisy and disturbed community and includes powerful accounts from them on the emotional turmoil, frustration and anger felt inside.
This second episode focuses on what life is like for the prisoners at Christmas, when they miss their families most.
Brill thanks!

I agree the mobile phone blocker would be a good idea, why can't they do that? Couldn't they also get a sniffer dog to check all the mail that comes in, surely it wouldn't cost them that much to train/keep it just for prison use?
Mobile phone blockers would block phone signals outside the jail so they are not allowed. Sniffer dogs are used on all the mail entering an establishment.

Yes, written by Delibes. I love it but this is my favourite (female) duet -Mozart's Sull aria from his Marriage of Figaro.
Performed in costume here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLtqZewjwgA
Best known recently for the music that stunned a male prison population in The Shawshank Redemption:

If only Mozart had lived into middle age (died age 34) he would have surely changed what was composed thereafter..

'Tis amazing how their perspective changes once inside. There is an old adage; if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. A shame more don't think before they act.

The 'prison hardman' Jason Cox (iirc) is so detached from the outside world that he has accepted prison life as the norm and thus calls his fellow inmates his 'family'.

Given that he's in for GBH, he won't be in prison forever...

I watched this last night - it was a real eye-opener and quite disturbing actually.

I REALLY never want to end up in a prison!

He was a totally institutionalised, it was a big comfy place to live. He was also missing a sandwich from his picnic.
