Dear All,

Some of you may know Angus MacDougall as the organiser of the TVRCC ROAR events over the last few years?

I'm afraid that I have the rather upsetting news to tell you. Angus has just been diagnosed with Brain Cancer. He has asked me to let all of this TVR friends know.

He had been suffering from headaches for quite a while bad had put this down to a long term back pain issue he had suffered from an old karting accident. It is in a rather difficult place to operate, being at the top of the spinal column/base of the brain, but the surgeons think its worth a go to remove it. Angus didn't say what the prognosis was, but Angus being Angus said, 'if I'm paralysed, I'm getting the TVR converted to an Auto!' He's going into surgery a week on Wednesday.

If the above wasn't enough bad news...Carmen, Angus' wife, is due for their third child on the 27th of December and Angus will still be recovering from the surgery when she is likely to give birth.

I am a strong believer in positive thoughts and energy so with Angus' approval, I've set up this topic and another on the TVRCC website where people can express their best wishes and words of encouragement.

Regards,

Martin Pett

Although I don't know him, this is terrible news. I too am a believer in the power of positive thinking, & know a few healers. I will be contacting them to ask for good thoughts to be sent to him, as well as my own.

I've spoken to him many a time over an LS engine block at Sportmotive. Top guy and deserves better but no doubt that he will be fighting this with his usual positive outlook though.

I wish him and his family the best of luck.

Terrible news, Angus is a lovely guy and put an immense amount of work (along with Martin) into Roar and was very helpful when we were organising the BNG.

Best wishes to him and his family.

In my thoughts and prayers.

my son aged 1 had chemo for a problem in that area, he's now 11. Positive thought really does work.

Attack your illness with the same determination as you've shown pulling ROAR together and perfecting your cars and I'm sure you'll be up & running in no time.
Good luck fella. thumbup
