Even if you got the address, his PA will just delete any st arriving in the inbox. Why can't you just complain through customer services like all us mere mortals?

I've seen a few threads here where people have got decent responses from MD/Chief execs in the past. I honestly have no faith anything resulting from calling their customer service 'helpline'.

Because he wants to deal with someone who can potentially do something about the problem.

Not true. Big companies have teams dedicated to answering emails and calls to the board from memebers of the public. If you need something done and can't get any joy from "customer service" then go straight to the top.

Companies House.

Current appointments report for Halfords.

CEO home address.

That *will* get you a result...

I think there are certain forum rules about naming and shaming? To be vague, trying to pressure my partner into having £400 worth of work done as the car was 'dangerous' to drive. The fault was a result of shoddy workmanship from a previous repair undertaken by them which was still under warranty.

Good luck to the OP - I've been trying to get a response from them for the last ten days without success.
Customer Services don't seem to be too interested in dealing with complaints, either by phone or e-mail.
I'll keep at them though.

And good luck to you to; noticed our local place had been rebranded, another store that I'm now extremely unlikely to use.

Thankfully these jack of all trades places will (hopefully) never be able to replace the decent local independents.

Quite - and sending an email is the only way to deal with these people.

I mean, who in their right mind would actually resort to speaking with the store manager to thrash out a solution to the problem - are you crazy?

The store manager may be able to offer an on the spot solution but in this case the store manager is part of the problem as he allows these sorts of practises to go on hence talking to someone more senior.

He is advocating sending a letter not knee capping him.

As big companies hide behind call centres it seems entirely appropriate to me.

Try talking to someone who can do anything at Ebay / Paypal if you want an exercise in futility.

I have the misfortune of having to deal with this company every day as part of the day job. I keep sending cars to these garages knowing full well how shoddy the service can be in some (that's some not all) all because company policy dictates we have to use them above and beyond some of the fantastic independant garages that are out there. Makes my blood boil at times frown

Well all I can say is the one in Altrincham, Manchester is great, the manager Ron is a top bloke, he always goes the extra mile and the people he has working there are very nice and friendly. I cannot fault them whatsoever!

I guess it depends on which garage, its a bit harsh to tar them all with the same brush so to speak.
