Video: Ferrari FF Filmed By Dog-Sledder

Take a Ferrari up a mountain? Are you barking..?

As responsible dog owners who like to 'pick up', we tend to avoid dog sleds as a mode of transport here at PH HQ.

We're clearly missing a trick though, as this apparently random YouTube post seems to attest. How else would you get this close to the Ferrari FF before the press launch?

By the way, in case you're wondering why there's so much snow around in all the Ferrari official press shots, it's because they're very keen to promote the four-wheel-drive traction thing for their intriguing new model.

So keen, they've even invited PH to the launch in Italy with promise of a ski slope to drive on. (And unlike certain 'media colleagues' we're not ones to look a prancing gift horse in the mouth... Naaaay!)

Given Chris Harris' recent rant on this I'd suggest this is staged:

Because it's a bit ugly, because it's not really a tourer and not really a sports car, because it's fundamentally wrong to have Ferrari with 4wd and because the purists will hate it....I love it.

Heh, I read the HarrisMonkey's rant on Jalopnik yesterday. Made for a most amusing read and frankly I would probably feel the same way as him.

So the press cars will get 4wd, but the customers will probably only get 2wd.

with 461 bhp from it's 12 manifold V8, and two seats. hahahaha.

Also read Harris' post, and it destroyed my (small) residual rose tintedness re: the prancing horse. Blimmin great rant from monkey tho'. Agree that Ferrari's desire to win at all costs is eclipsing their depth of engineering talent and what an achievement their cars are.

I wonder if the dogs had to sign a waiver saying that they would never be passengers in a customers car?biggrin

With every manufacturer seemingly wanting to do sports cars, coupé's, near cross-overs.

We seem to be running out of brands with a true identity.

They had to promise never to bark about what they'd seen.

to be honest i think it looks daft, the way the video is shot it looks like they've come across some tool who has got his ferrari stuck in the snow, (i know its staged) so it's 4wd? its not going to be the best car for those conditions and if you have they money to have a ferrari like that you'll be able to afford a good off road car should you need it

I have to say, that was a pretty feeble attempt at a staged viral video. What next, one that just happens to be caught with a Quattro that can't keep up?
