Another Monday morning, another slog through the gridlocked streets of Britain to get to work.
What happened to all those flying cars that we were promised to take us through the skies of the future straight to our offices?
They end up on eBay by the looks of things, recuperating the massive losses of those who tried to keep the dream alive.
The ‘very last’ Sky Commuter Prototype’ has cropped up on the auction site after $6,000,000 was spent on research and development.
According to the listing the plant was shut down ‘for reasons not listed here’ and everything left was taken or destroyed.
This ship was not in the hanger at the time and so survived.
It still wears the original paintwork and has been in storage for a few years.
There are landing lights and a joystick inside to control the machine.
Carbon fibre and Kevlar have been used in its construction making it extremely lightweight.
All rights to the Sky Commuter go with the sale so if anyone fancies carrying on the work who knows we may still take to the skies to get to the office.
