November was a slow month for fast cars in London. The weather, as I'm sure you all know, is truly miserable in England at the moment. In turn, supercar owners aren't too keen on bringing their pride and joy out on the slippy, dirty roads of London. Either that, or we're just too soft to go out and photograph them! Nonetheless, we still managed to pap some outstanding automobiles last month and take pleasure in showing you them here.
At the classier end of things we came across a gorgeous MSO McLaren 675LT. This particular car is finished in XP Green, based on the McLaren F1 GT. It features the optional roof scoops and louvres from McLaren Special Operations, and is tastefully finished off by silver 5 spoke wheels. It is even rumoured to be the most expensive 675LT coupe that McLaren built. However, this McLaren was completely overshadowed by the outrageously classy Singer we found. The 'Le Mans Commission' as it is known is a red 911 'reimagined' by American company Singer Vehicle Design. The interior is a work of art, finished in black alcantara with red inserts.
Khalifa Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, a Qatari prince, single handedly made November significantly more interesting. KHK, as he is known, is infamous for bringing fleets of hypercars and shutting down entire hotel car parks with the sheer volume of vehicles in his entourage. This winter he treated us with his Ferrari F12 TdF, Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari and Lamborghini Centenario. By now these cars are pretty well known, old news even. So kindly he brought two new cars along to keep the fans interested. These were an absolutely stunning purple Pagani Huayra BC, and a flat grey with blue interior Bugatti Chiron. These are both pretty serious new additions to the garage, and by no means boring specs!
Finally, we caught glimpse of a pair of spectacular cars. The first was the actual Batmobile, used in the filming of Batman. Two things were impressive about this monster. Firstly, it was enormous, like really really enormous. Secondly, despite being so vast, it actually could and did drive, supposedly with an AMG V8 under the hood! Alongside it was the Mercedes Benz AMG Vision GT. This car was also used in Batman, as Bruce Wayne's daily, but is the creation of Mercedes Benz for the video game Gran Turismo!
As a bonus round, we also were fortunate enough to see the truly unique Williams Martini Racing JCB 3CX! Check back soon for our supercar highlights of 2017!
