RAC Trackstar is working on making its tracking technology a more attractive
proposition with a new
low-cost finance scheme. It's now available at an all-inclusive £23.50 per month.
Vehicle tracking is becoming very big business in the UK where over 58% of
vehicles stolen are never recovered and 55% of those damaged extensively
or beyond repair.
Trackstar uses GPS style and has a high success rate. 96% of vehicles equipped
RAC Trackstar are recovered -
and in an average of less than 30 minutes from initialising tracking to
recovery. In one case, Police secured the vehicle in just two minutes.
With RAC Trackstar, two packages are available - Guardian and Protector -
each coming with 'electronic handshake' remote control activation. Guardian is
designed for modern vehicles already fitted with an immobiliser which, as part
of the installation process, is integrated with the RAC Trackstar system.
Protector is designed for older vehicles and comes with its own immobiliser.
Should the vehicle be stolen without the dedicated key fob being activated,
the system will alert RAC Trackstar central control and tracking will commence
immediately. This primary system is also available with a feature unique to
Trackstar, 'E'mergency and 'B'reakdown call. Both E and B services utilise RAC
Trackstar’s dedicated key fob; a covert microphone and a speaker fitted in the
car, and the ability to provide emergency or breakdown services with exact
vehicle location.
