Summer is now over, the leaves are starting to fall off the trees, it's cold, it's wet and people don't want to drive their supercars. However, we did manage to spot one or two rarities in the streets of London last month before it was all too late...
Naturally, in London there were hypercars. A Volcano Yellow P1 wrapped blue and red from Oman, a lovely Bianco LaFerrari with the newer FXXK style wheels (a must for any LaF owners out there), and a Porsche 918 with an appropriate number plate. However, each of those cars would be a little embarrassed should what we saw in Mayfair pull alongside them. A McLaren Orange McLaren P1 LM, car number four of only six, spotted out of its natural Nurburgring habitat with a wing that surely pushes the limits of road legality and pedestrian safety! Respect to any owner brave enough to drive that car, which doesn't even have working windows, amongst cyclists and London buses!
Other cool and interesting spots include the beautiful V12 Vantage Zagato, a Ford GT 720 Mirage, a KTM X-Bow all the way from Kuwait, and a Ferrari 488 Challenge car! Still, the most powerful car to ever make it to one of these London albums, a white and exposed carbon Chiron has made itself at home in Knightsbridge for the past few weeks, stretching its legs every evening, sometimes as far as Brompton Road!
A special mention goes to the two very similar F12 TdFs pictured. Both cars were specced independently, and for different reasons, however, the end result is very beautiful and almost identical! The car at the rear is based on Ferrari 250 GT SWB #2689 painted in Argento Nurburgring with a French Racing Blue stripe, whilst the closest car is also Argento Nürburgring with a Blu Ribot stripe inspired by one of the owner's older Ferraris!
Check back next month to see which supercars, hypercars, classic cars and maybe even racing cars have braved the cold wet September streets of London!
