Behind the post apocalyptic MTC setting, there was the sneaking suspicion that the
650S Coupe Concept
wasn't destined to be unique. And, wouldn't you know it, a production version has been prepared just in time for Goodwood.

The McLaren Special Operations (MSO)
650S
carries over much that was seen on the Coupe Concept including the Agrigan Black paint. Sarigan Quartz and Papaya Spark are also available. There's also the three-piece rear bumper with more aggressive diffuser, MSO carbon side blades and the new front splitter. Mechanically it's identical to a 650S.
Carbon is plentiful inside with a 'signature dedication plaque' on the sill panel but it's fundamentally still a 650S interior. McLaren will make 50 650S MSOs as both Coupes and Spiders. It will cost £252,500 for the hard top and £20K more for the Spider. And there were 650S customers feeling smug that they had the newest McLaren...
