Like so many others, PHer Joseph Lambert found the memories flooding back after attending various Goodwood Members' Meetings and watching the touring car races. With a Rover SD1 in the family during the 90s, and a Mini 1275GT project also on the boil, it should come as no surprise that he's now ended up with one of the glorious V8 Rovers.
However, it was looking far less glorious on collection a couple of years ago. The paint had lost its lustre, there was rust (although less than expected) and mechanically Joseph described it as "running and driving, but not well." Cue some hard work...
An engine rebuild was the first port of call, to be followed by the cosmetic touch up. With the thread only created last weekend, there are still plenty of details and pics to follow, but we're hooked already. Joseph, congratulations on a fabulous old Rover and a very cool project - we can't wait to see the rest of it.
