There's a problem that many of us car enthusiasts face when life is progressing; the family is growing, you need more seats and more space for small people and the dog who is now squished up against the window. But to get rid of performance in search of those practicalities? Blasphemy!
PHer RossOCD wasn't going down the stereotypical practical route - which often involves diesel, blandness and performance that leaves you wanting. No, Ross was not feeling any of that. Instead, he's gone all out and purchased a big fat V8 with a supercharger slapped onto it. The Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Kompressor Estate is a handsome brute, which luckily ticks all of the practicality boxes needed for a growing family: seven seats, gigantic boot, electric tailgate and heated/cooled/massage seats for a little added luxury for weary parents. Oh, and it also has an LPG conversion, which is useful when 475hp helps you average 12mpg, and LPG offers gas at 65p per litre...
Ross also added a Porsche 986 Boxster S to his garage, as a weekend toy, but he has said that the keys for the E55 are providing even more of a draw than the plucky two-seater, which shows how much fun a big bus can be.
