According to HowManyLeft, there are just two Citroen LNAs registered on British roads. Or at least there were in 2018, the last time the count was updated. But thanks to one a recently-created thread, we know that at least one is indeed alive and well – and this being PH, it’s being made even healthier. Fluoxetine’s LNA, a lovely little 11E from 1983, has been the subject of his affection for several years, with much of the work focussed on fighting off the orange stuff.
So bad was the tin worm in some areas that it’s required the complete replacement of metal panels, a job Fluoxetine has taken on with both formerly idle hands. The car’s not been without its blemishes – the seats were torn and some of the black trim was badly faded - but he's bravely set about addressing them one by one, while also adding a set of period-appropriate alloys. They look the nuts, particularly with a set of worn semi-slicks around them…
The job is a significant one – at one point the whole interior was stripped out – but the progress made so far is impressive, and the car as lovable as a week-old puppy. With only 50hp under the bonnet it’s liable to be no quicker off the mark than a milk-fed whelp, but that's by the by. The fact that it represents a very nearly extinct breed far outweighs any other consideration. We're totally onboard for the ride, Fluoxetine.
