Cagiva Mito conversion to 250 TZR
Discussion
Hi all, some pics of my Mito 250 build. With a bit of tuning it should hit 60-70 hp.
I stripped the bike to individual parts and then had the main parts all dipped, stripped, blasted then powder coated.

I used an RS 250 cup rear shock from ohlins. I had to alter the top mount. I will have this rebuilt and valves / sprung to my weight.
I wanted twin discs on the front although the 250 engine isn’t any heavier than the mito 125. I used twin mito discs on a duke 916 wheel. Ohlins gsxr k2 ohlins front suspension and k2 callipers.

The engine is mounted on billet mounts and has a billet inlet manifold that will allow much bigger carbs as the tzr is quite restricted by the standard ones.

Added a set of carbon side panels along with a carbon light bowl from a 916 and I have carbon infil panels.

That’s amazing mate. Always loved the MITO, a mini Duke. Should go well with that setup! Work looks top notch as well. ![clap](/inc/images/clap.gif)
Thanks, yes they share a lot with the Duke. I believe Cagiva owned Ducati.![clap](/inc/images/clap.gif)
I had a cr500 engined one and that flew…similar peak HP but lots more torque (and vibrations)

Lovely, if only I were smaller and could fit on one.
You'd be surprised... I'm 6' 5" and sat on one at the NEC bike show years ago. Surprisingly, I didn't feel stupidly cramped on it. Look a complete tit mind!

I recognise the 350.
I have a ypvs converted Mito frame but need an engine for it.
Here is the one with the CR500 engine I just sold. And my one with the 350 ypvs engine in it before the engine was removed.

Very nice. I do wish I was shorter to ride this kind of bike sometimes!I have a ypvs converted Mito frame but need an engine for it.

A mate has just bought an NSR250, now that is small!
I guess the Aprilia RS250 is the biggest physically? I still haven't completely ruled out getting one at some point...
