Yeah, but like so much else I can see them replacing proper coppers, on the grounds of cheapness, and gradually extending their powers, at which point they may start behaving like Parking Wardens do.

Like much of New Labour, the idea as touted isn't too bad, the reality isn't.

if they end up increasing their powers, they'll end up acting like traffic cops.....and from what i've read on here, everyone wants more traffic police to stop all the numpties.
