They have restrictions based on power/weight ratio & number of years you've had a license in Italy..

I guess Italy isn't the place to cite as the centre of automtive sensibleness though....

Thanks Fatboy - the best laff I have had for a while - must get the book !

Back to topic - Perhaps the best way of getting the government to review the speed limits would be to stick to them - or perhaps go 10% less. In London it may not make too much difference attempting to go at 27mph but if everybody did 65 round the M25, M1, M40, etc in all lanes then lorry drivers would probably be more up in arms than they were about the fuel taxes !

Bob, if we all drive slower, they will LOWER the limit further in order to catch you.

Don't even THINK about driving slower than you have to. Stay within the law if you are afraid of being caught, but if it says 70, then DO 70 !! (where safe).
