Fothe sake of the Geodysys unit, at least you know where the cameras are, and can take appropriate action, at least it works. I got pulled (and banned) for 110 on the M4 (2 week ban £120 fine) so for me detecting the roadside laser guns is of more interest. I'm verifying the info from New Zealand, if we can confirm the wavelength we will need an appropriate diode array to swamp the gun / detector, although at this rate, my car will be about 20kg's heavier, which makes a mokery of the ally bonnet and lightweight body!

Seriously though, thanks for the input, just got to make the Scooby invisible to eliminate Vascar, maybe frequency double a Yag and dazzle the forces of good (cue Darth Vader heavy breathing)

Re masking the number plate, maybe we need to introduce some kind of gaussian blur to the text. It would help to know the shutter speed of the gatso cameras.

I guess it comes back to the old chesnut of correctly sited cameras.

If the evil things were somewhere useful, then we wouldn't be speeding anyway. Therefore no need to hide your plate or detect anything... seems like we always end up tackling the wrong issues. Don't misunderstand me, I have a Geodesy + radar detector, but feel that I should not NEED to, if the authorities played fair!!
