For a moment there I thought it might have been you causing the fuss, with your 'exemption' and all.
Nope, I’m still in Florida waiting for a negative test before flying home. Mrs BC and I have been here since mid December so it really is time to head home.Nice though though.

Well, best not tor try not wearing a mask on a plane still.........Miami-London flight turned back because of a non-mask wearer. Flight cancelled. Tough for the other passengers.

So did you get a negative test result before flying home unmasked?
It sounds like you might not have, be honest.
I was referring to the outward journey and some other BA flights. I haven’t traveled home yet.It sounds like you might not have, be honest.
I was positive on 12 January, awaiting the result of more recent test.
UPDATE:- Test result negative so I’m heading home next week.

Why the heck should people wear masks simply to reassure those that falsely believe others wearing a cloth over their faces will protect them?
It's utterly absurd.
Why the heck do you care what other people choose to do? It's utterly absurd.

Still fking idiots refusing to comply with simple requests.
If you don’t want to comply and it’s too upsetting for you then turn around and don’t use healthcare.

We’ll be back to sheeple, cognitive dissonance and fitting the narrative again soon. Unbelievable.
Ah so we should just do as we’re told, presumably because it’s ‘following the science’?If you don’t want to comply and it’s too upsetting for you then turn around and don’t use healthcare.

The masks are mainly to stop transmission to another person. The filtering effect was always secondary. There is research to suggest they have a positive effect against the flu virus for wearers.
If you cough, you expel germs at a fair old speed so risk infecting those nearby. A mask limits that.
If that’s the case why are cases in Asia where masks are widely worn not less than here? The masks are mainly to stop transmission to another person. The filtering effect was always secondary. There is research to suggest they have a positive effect against the flu virus for wearers.

Also why did Scotland have more cases than England when they carried on with their mask mandate?

We had a huge experiment here. Scotland kept the mask mandate far longer than England. Did no better.
As a glasses wearer my glasses steamed up as soon as I went indoors with a mask on. Seemed my breath went round the mask not through it. So very little filtering effect.
I’m no fan of masks, but your two anecdotal nuggets of evidence are embarrassingly uninformed. As a glasses wearer my glasses steamed up as soon as I went indoors with a mask on. Seemed my breath went round the mask not through it. So very little filtering effect.

Your assertion is not supported by and is contrary to the tests and evidence
So I’ll ask yet again. Why is it that countries where masks are worn such many Asian countries and Scotland for a fair time after England don’t have lower infection rates?

I don’t want to start another pro/anti mask debate, there’s been a few of those.
I’ve passed a few mainly smaller shops and cafes with signage saying you cannot enter without a mask, no exceptions. Does this contravene disability laws?
Nearly 18 months and almost 230 pages later this thread has definitely become another ‘pro/anti mask debate’, I’m amazed it’s still going.I’ve passed a few mainly smaller shops and cafes with signage saying you cannot enter without a mask, no exceptions. Does this contravene disability laws?
Just saying.
