His obsession with the mask threads, and it is an obsession, I find plain weird. It's actually uncomfortable and embarrassing reading how much of his life he's dedicated to it over the threads. It's a trivial matter that has consumed him. It's unhealthy.
Just let the thread die off. I'm sure it'll help Bad Company too.

Just saw some graffiti:-
‘Wearing a mask is about as useful as trying to keep a fart in your trousers’.
I'd rather you kept your pants on.‘Wearing a mask is about as useful as trying to keep a fart in your trousers’.
Mr Driver seems to have lost his marbles.

It was not there last week, I asked the practice manager why they felt the need to put up the sign.
It seems some Einstein tried to enter and upon being challenged as to why no mask proceeded to pull the I'm exempt excuse, the bright spark forgot that this is their doctors and as such they know exactly the medical issues they have and we're told to go away and get a mask before returning.
Doctors or not all he needed to say was that wearing the mask caused him stress/anxiety. That’s a valid exemption. It seems some Einstein tried to enter and upon being challenged as to why no mask proceeded to pull the I'm exempt excuse, the bright spark forgot that this is their doctors and as such they know exactly the medical issues they have and we're told to go away and get a mask before returning.
Most Doctors won’t do written exemptions.

Great. Fabricating a disability because your ego is too fragile to wear a mask. Most Doctors won’t do written exemptions.
Ridicules those with actual disabilities.
Who said anything about fabricating a disability?

What should he do if he doesn’t suffer from stress/anxiety and just doesn’t think he should have to wear a mask? Most Doctors won’t do written exemptions.

Worrying that our inoculations are happening but Covid infection rising .
But hospitalisations and deaths are not following the rising cases trend, even accounting for the lag.Could this be because the vaccines are highly effective against severe illness, but don't actually prevent you from getting infected if you're exposed to the virus?

It's just masks. They've never been called anything else, except by those afflicted by Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), a disease for which there sadly is no cure.
Face coverings is the correct term.kingston12 said:
I'm confused. Wasn't the premise of this thread supposed to be:
You’re absolutely right, as usual on PH the threads go off topic. Inevitable in this case I reckon.bad company said:
I don’t want to start another pro/anti mask debate, there’s been a few of those.
I’ve passed a few mainly smaller shops and cafes with signage saying you cannot enter without a mask, no exceptions. Does this contravene disability laws?

I missed the key question from my post and edited afterwards - Was your question answered before the thread went OT? I'm interested, but this is one thread where I really can't be bothered to wade through 45 pages to find out!I do find it an interesting point - I've seen nothing that specifically says businesses can say no to mask exceptions, but is there anything in existing law that allows them to bar entry for ANY reason?
They cannot not admit you if you have genuine ground like an illness such a asthma or COPD. I was with a friend and we were denied access in a pub on Friday. We both have COPD and have proof of it in the way of a prescription slip and medication.
It is an offense under the Equality Act, just the same as a blind person being not allowed in because he has a guide dog.
In this case we just went to the pub next door who were understanding and supportive. We reported the issue to the brewery as the license holder was not interested. Whether it is followed up is another matter.. just vote with your feet and go elsewhere.

"Here is a single interview with a 72 year old retired consultant - he agrees with what I have to say"
"Right, but here are any number of scientific research papers and non-retired consultants who disagree with what you have to say"
"They don't count - they disagree with me"
What is it with the anti-mask/anti-vaxxer nut jobs and their fixation on "Single instances"?
One person agrees with them, apparently that one person carries the same weight as a thousand people who disagree.
One politician breaks the rules - obviously it's the entire government that wants to control you all.

I don't wear one because I genuinely do not believe they have any positive effect, and I hate wearing one. Wearing one makes me feel anxious as I'm being forced to do something I don't agree with. Which I suppose is some sort of mental health condition, if you wanted to give it a label I'm probably just a massive ahole...I'm happy with that.
Bit still, you carry on thinking I'm the problem, because I think you are part of the problem in your utter willingness to do as your told and be so vociferous about it. Which is the behaviour I'd expect from a child, petulant or not.
And for the record. I believe the vaccine is a benefit, I've had both jabs. I also strongly believe hand hygiene is important, it always has been if you believe the hype the infection control training I've had over the years teaches you. If they kept the sanitising stations in public places I'd be happy with that. An aside but one of the first things I noticed when masks were mandated was that non of the fking cretins that were keen to comply continued to use them. Masks give you some sort of protection from picking your arse, then your nose obviously.
