A while back I asked about the regs regarding signing. As usual DVD's response pointed me in the right direction. I haven't been nicked for speeding, but a friend has. I pointed out to her the regulations regarding the section of road she was flashed on. Since then, this has happened www.thisisexeter.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=137199&command=displayContent&sourceNode=136986&contentPK=13439632&folderPk=79934

One comment from inspector Perry of Teignmouth got my back up
"The reason this limit was put in is because there have been some very high profile serious accidents on that road, including one fatal,"
The fatal accident was caused by an elderly woman who lost concentration and drove straight into an oncoming vehicle. She was driving below the 30mph speed limit. Sadly, it was her grandaughter who died in the accident. In fact, there have been more accidents on this road since the limit was dropped. Perhaps they should lower it further still?
