Just a quick one.

Poss got done speeding today. Going down a dual carriage way, I think it was the A19. Spotted the nose of a plod car poking past some hedges. Got my speed down to the limit and went past plod at 70.

I couldn't actually see the officer until very close to the car, by which time I was at the correct limit. I assume the hand held guns need a line of sight to work? If not and I had been clocked speeding does the BiB have to make a stop or can a ticket be issued anyway?

If it makes any difference the plod lowered the gun and seemed to be looking at it as I went past.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You must be mistaken, because speed cameras are there for safety and not revenue so he wouldn't have been hiding behind a hedge at all..

Yes, he has to have a line of sight to ping you, BUT I've seen them park a car on one side of the road and actually have plod hidden nicking cars coming the other way because they think he's going after people on the other side of the road if you see what I mean. Did you actually see the plod and hairdryer?
Yep, eyeballed her as we went passed, sat in the drivers side, she was just putting the hairdryer down as I went passed and seemed to be looking at it.

Cheers
