Steering Tie Rod removal in situ SV wide track.
Discussion
Hi
I have a 2006 SV and the tie rod cadmium plating has gone a bit off.
So I want to take the rods off to either get new or get the existing ones replated.
The rubber gaiters/bellows are degrading too so I'll probably buy the SV kit from Caterham. I have found of late that basic 3rd party specialist jobs cost a absolute fortune. A plater will probably charge a pretty penny and the car will be imobile for a while. I can do the job in one go if I buy the kit..

So....
I intend to wind the rods out the ball joints and leave the ball joints on the uprights.
Then take off the bellows. My question is can I get access with the rack in place to get to the big slim nuts to get the tie rods off where the knuckle joints are?
I was hoping on Left/Right full lock I can. Also what size is the nut?
Cheers!
