My dealer finally got a response from Blackpool (ive been trying to order for 3 months). They (Blackpool)said the engine is generating way too much heat and they are trying to fix, but no timing for a solution.

Factory focus is all aimed at the Sagaris right now and they are dissapointed at the lack of interest shown in the 400/440 and Typhon.

Latest prices are £79K, £84 and £89k.

They can't really be too surprised by that what with the total lack of road cars (bar 1) and press coverage. Sadly, it's their own fault.

I thought they had a lot of orders for the Typhon

Think a lot of people must be losing faith in this car ever appearing, as for £80k it promised to be a hell of a car.

Totally agree - Prime Al (first customer Typhon) has been waiting over 4 years, doubt many people would be interested in waiting half a decade for a car, no matter how good it may turn out to be.

This month's Top Gear shows Typhon availability in November 2005. Is this just journalistic license or has the factory been talking to the press rather than to their dealers and actual customers with orders?

PS karting challenge is up soon!

Typhon still on order to replace the Cerby.

Struggling along in the M5.

Karting - great stuff but depends on the date? James and I both interested but son now a bit heavier than he was last time out. He's still quick though.

Would love to come along when you do, that sounds fun. Not sure how much I can help really. Recommend chatting to a pukka coach, someone like Cerbera driving Silverstone instructor Steve Lewis or if it is a Goldtrack day former GT champion Calum Lockie.

Point taken.

But after such a long time since placing a Typhon order and with almost everyone short of Typhon/440R details & experience except perhaps prime al or Laurence Tomlinson, you cannot blame folks for mentally twiddling their thumbs.

Exx what's your build number?
