Anybody else get left behind on the straights, same bikes but they fly by
This is my biggest gripe with the game. No matter what bike I buy and how much I modify it the AI bikes ALWAYS leave me for dead on the straights. The only way for me to win is to take the corners much faster but half the time they're going so slow in the corners you crash into them and fall off.
Its really pissing me off as apart from that I actually love the way the game feels.

I assume there's not an Xbox 360 demo? I've tried it on a my living room PC (Core i3, Intel HD) and sadly it doesn't scale down well...

Also have to say it doesn't sound very realistic (engine noises etc.) or it that just my underpowered PC making a Street Triple sound like a car from a 20 year old Ridge Racer game?

So... is this any better/worse on PC? Hope so since I've just bought a Nvidia 750Ti to play it.

Playing this for a couple days on the PC, few notes;

  • MT-07 is a bit of a crap starting bike, I was almost considering starting again until I tried a race where you had to overtake other bikes and got enough to get a ZX-6R.
  • Wot no Hayabusas/Blackbirds/GTRs? Okay I'm not that interested in that class myself TBH but a bit of a omission to an otherwise decent selection of bikes.
  • I've left the difficulty on 'very easy' OK they're a little slower on the corners but almost always faster on the straights, otherwise running full sim mode/aids off (asides rider stance). whatever. Separating classes by power (or Forza style PI) rather than capacity would have been better IMO.
  • On the surface it seems similar to the 9 year old 'Superbikes Riding Challenge' game, but this game has much better physics allowing a fair amount of movement/drift before chucking you off the bike. The physics aren't to the level of GP Bikes but this strikes a great balance between realism and fun.
  • The customisation seems a bit meh, obviously you can't really bolt on turbos etc. like you can in Forza but perhaps allowing custom paint jobs would have been nice. And no all blue helmet? (like my Caberg) irked
  • The track selection is good, but would be better with a few more road stages/tracks e.g TT course, Nurburgring, and perhaps a few like this...? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kchZx_7dbnUsmile
  • It plays great on my old office spec i3 desktop with a 750Ti shoved into it, 60fps with mid level details at 1080p, in comparison to the 10-30-ish fps and Commodore 64-esque loading times on a "current gen" Xbox One rofl
  • The sounds effects of the bikes are a bit crap, just enough to separate a 2-3-4 cylinder bike and a sports exhaust doesn't make any difference irked

I will hopefully be getting Ride this week after getting bugged about it from some guys at work. Was Tourist Trophy that long ago?! (PS2). I used to love that game!

Still playing this from time to time, not bad at all but wishing there were more tracks to play on...

Pity it isn't moddable like GP Bikes.

I've been playing this and I've been enjoying it but there are still issues, firstly after 10 days or so my game data got corrupted and I lost my bikes, money and kit (but not race wins) and had to start again then I noticed that after doing the elite race number 7 and choosing the KTM RC8 race bike as my prize I don't actually have it? I have checked the garage and it's not there and if I do the race again it shows that I've won it already and I am not awarded the bike.

It's a fun game with quite good handling but it's got some weird behaviour.

On a related note I downloaded the demo for Motorcycle Club on PS4 the other day. Deleted after 15 minutes - don't bother.

I started a thread but maybe people don't fancy spunking ~£45 on it when the first was a bit poo.

I'm getting pretty well into it now, it's pretty good but has its pitfalls like the first one. Loading times are greatly reduced but still a bit too regular. Choice of bikes is really good (around 250 I think) the tracks are the old mixture of some real a lot made up, does have some highlights like the Ulster gp, NW200 and the Nurburgring.

Handling and physics are still pretty bad, but it is good fun, the Ulster and North West tracks are good to have, first time in a game as well I think.

I really wish they would have made a stab at a pro handling model, it's fun but not really very challenging.

A massive improvement on the original in my opinion and a tad over £30 from Shopto it's proving great value imho. NW 200 and The Ring are immense with the kerbs proving highly unforgiving. Thought 'Mildlystoned' had shot their bolt after the Rossi game but this bus a massive improvement on the physics (although not there yet) it does bode well for future releases. The scoreboards are holding up ok and multiplayer is slowly getting better. If only they could go back to the simple but effective ranking and lobbies of Moto GP2 they would be pretty much there and glad I persevered and bought Ride 2

Less than £20 on PC already... http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/ride-2-pc-steam-cd-...

Might pick it up for the bike selection and extra tracks - proper road circuits now rather than that crappy race circuit badly disguised as some English road circuit I can't remember the name of in Ride 1. Are the engine sounds as rubbish as they seem in the gameplay videos I've watched?

That track was called North Wales or something... and it's still in the game laugh

Sounds are pretty good for me on Xbox1, can only assume they'll be better on PC. I don't grudge paying £45 for it so £20 is a steal IMO

Wait what? I bought that game a while ago I thought it only has the TT track on it?!

ETA okay a quick google reveals there was two sequels (Real Road Racing Championship and Legends) I had no idea existed!
