thank you this is realy helping and giving me more ideas
the thing is that for my uni project and i have a deadline and need some photographs
so rather than gettin individual cars and owners should i travel anlon with a cruise or meeting ? to get the shots?
any advice?
the only way i can try these shots is if i have cars to take the photographs and im sure that if i do go along with someone or a cruise some one will say how about this shot or maybe you should try this.

Ok I was using the nature lighting of the Environment the colour balance that I did changed from orange street light to more normal how should the colour balance be set?
also on the composition how could i change it, to make it more interesting?
ok in a industrial where else due to available lighting?

would there be any chance of having some help in actually shooting and editing the images???? to try and increase my style and quality of my images?.

You're at Uni doing photography but you don't seem to know the basics? Is this the norm in Universities these days? Don't you need to do a foundation course or at least have some form of talent for your chosen subject these days to gain your place in Uni? Apologies if that sounds harsh but I think you've got a very long way to go. I did a very humble 2 year OND in audio visual studies before they'd even consider me trying anything in my chosen path in film and tv. What's the entry qualifications for a Uni photography course these days ?
i do know basic but not it car photography thats is why im hear asking for help. and im reading post on here and reading articals in car and phtography magazine and being told different thingsAndy M said:
Away from the technical side, photography is a way to express yourself; another language as it were.
What are you trying to convey with these shots? What's your message behind them that you hope people will see (or feel) upon viewing the photos?
the main aim of the shots that i want to produce is of the cars and their owners and the reflection of the person in the carWhat are you trying to convey with these shots? What's your message behind them that you hope people will see (or feel) upon viewing the photos?
I am going to Santa Pod and Brands Hatch next weekend and then MPH Motor show in November. I will keep that in mind.
Scott330ci - I know my English isn't great but i have difficulty with my English thank you. I use a Canon 50D and 400D with a sigma 50mm DGmacro and a Canon 80-200mm EF lens. Is this where i go wrong?
Scho - Should I change my idea so that there are only parts of the car like you said instead of the whole car and owner?

I don't like this shot this is from another student on the same course doing a similar project to me. I dont like the relfections in the paint work of the trees and a car should be on tarmac not gravel! if a 4X4 or rally styled car e.g. evo.
Ok Guys i know my English isn't my good ok!
Ok i am ussing a tripod and using ISO100 with different shutter speeds and F-stops. The shots what i took I followed a rough guide on another forum which said not to crop and cut out the car obviously a bad forum im going out again with my brothers FTO and his girlfriends astra turbo so I will look for the lines down the car and get even lower than i did. Also less of the shooting at night?? or should i try for just before during and a small section after sunset?
