Yes, it's been there for a week or so, but the signs are strange. I know it sounds odd, but it looks like (from Tollerton) only the left hand land is 50 (road surface signs, lamp post sign on left).

I noticed those last night on my way home.

Are there any "repeater" signs? I thought there had to be every "so many hundred yards" for 40 and 50 limits.

Just great isn't it! A little bird told me that the stretch may be in for permanent 40mph limits after the roadworks and various messing about are completed! Just superb eh!

Well, it is Nottingham, the city that hates cars.

My guess is they will make it buses and bicyles only and then convert it into a tram route. They won't be satisfied until they have turned the place into one massive drinking parlour with overhead power cables for the public transport.

Fortunately I rarely need to go there - a place best avoided.

Horses and carts are soon to be all the rage. One thing's for sure, you'll never go thirsty in Nottingham. If it isn't a bar or cafe, it'll be an apartment.

I heard a rumour that some of the city centre up market apartments were on the market for less than their original selling price. Any truth in it?

It would not suprise me as the market has been well and truly saturated in the city. Even the Sneinton/St Annes border territory has luxury apartments

I would still do 70 through there, its absolutely bloody stupid, there is no reason whatsoever for it. A lot of other people still do 70 as well.

Its just the stupid tt numpties that see 50 and do it regardless of the conditions.

50mph on that road is a joke.

That is just what a taxi driver told me as we went down there in the wee small hours a few weeks back His driving was a joke but I was too scared to laugh
