getting rid of a masking line
Discussion
I took the tacky, worn gold pinstriping off the side of my car today. And I also discovered the reason why it was put there in the first place. The right side of the car now has a line from the back of the door to the edge of the quarter panel, where a respray was previously attempted, whose masking line was covered up by the pinstriping. It's not so bad looking as long as you're not 3 feet from the car, but I know it's there, and is there any way short of getting my car repainted to minimalize the appearance of the line? (It looks almost like someone tried to key my car with a ruler, but I've been able to polish it out to the point you can only see it in a few feet).
Thanks,
Dan
