I have black leather seats in my Lotus and has obviously not been cared for by the previous owners.I need to find a product to soften the leather, as there is visible cracks in the black top colour and look after it from now on.Any recommendations?

I've decided to wait until it warms a bit,so hopefully off with the roof and black seats will warm nicely this week end.

Well, since I have been driving the car this morning, decided that since the interior was warm, to give the seat cleaning a go. I had previously just wiped a cloth over them and used Meguiars leather stuff. I wiped the seats down and then used the cleaner and allowed 5 mins to soak in.I then wiped the residue off. The seats seem shinier so far and then decided, that since it hasn't had much care before to do the same with the cleaner again, but left on for 10 mins. This allowed it to soak in better for being on longer. I then wiped it off and the cloths were quite grubby, difficult to see dirt on a black leather seat.I left it for 30mins to dry out and then used the creme.I gently massaged it in and then left it.I have checked an hour later and the leather is very soft and waxy feeling.I rubbed my hand on it and is hasn't come off the seats.Seems that as I push my hand into the seats, the cracks in the leather are less and hopefully I will give some more feed to it in the week,to make sure it nevers dries out again. Seems a good product, although the rags I use have ponged the garage out with the leather smell that is in the bottle.

Thanks Bellaire for your help.I looked at the seats last night and they feel a lot better and when I press on them, they don't crack as much.I am going to give them another coat of feed tonight, as I only use the car at the week ends, so it can soak in and then I will just use a cotton cloth to buff them before I use the car.As for the cloths.I have a cotton hand towel roll that i have 'gained' so they will go in a bucket of washing liquid with other cloths and then the garage looks like a chinese laundry until they dry.
