There's nothing you can say is there?

Unfortunately today's middle-class housewife is a completely brain dead moron who lives in a fluffy little world of privately delivered supermarket shopping, nannies and gardeners.

Show them the real world of people who've suffered in the name of this country and they go into meltdown as their single cell brains struggle to comprehend the confusing message.

Shame you couldn't put these bimbos on the front line for a day and then have them chucked out of a public swimming pool the next day.

The armed forces have to display more courage than most of us will ever know - whatever the politics, they deserve our respect.
you didnt really mean middle class did you>>?????

There is a special charity that has been set up to raise money for disabled serviceman, they are currently trying to raise 5 million for a dedicated swimming pool and therapy centre for the serviceman so they can be rehabilitated in peace without having to put up with this sort of thing in future.
As much as I would support such a venture, I think it is sweeping the problem under the carpet. These men should not be hidden away from the public, they are not freaks, just the opposite - they are heroes.
It's a rehabilitation centre, not a Victorian sanitorium. It has a purpose, which has little to do with removing disabled serviceman from society, but a lot to do with getting them back to normal living. Bleating on a PH thread about the injustice is a poor substitute for making a donation to the above mentioned charity. Put your money where your mouth thinks you are.

Are you taking a poke at me?

You are not in any position to comment on the level of my charitable donations.

It must be a somewhat crushing blow, mentally, to be on the receiving end of that kind of hate from the very people you nominally protect.
What makes you go abroad fighting for strangers
When you could be safe at home free from all dangers?
A recruiting sergeant came our way
To an Inn nearby at the close of day
He said young Johnny you're a fine young man
Would you like to march along behind a military band,
With a scarlet coat and a big cocked hat,
And a musket at your shoulder,
The shilling he took and he kissed the book,
Oh poor Johnny what will happen to ya?
The recruiting sergeant marched away
From the Inn nearby at the break of day,
Johnny went too with half a ring
He was off to be a soldier he'd be fighting for the King
In a far off war in a far off land
To face a foreign soldier,
But how will you fare when there's lead in the air,
Oh poor Johnny what'll happen to ya?

What makes you go abroad fighting for strangers
When you could be safe at home free from all dangers?

The sun shone hot on a barren land
As a thin red line took a military stand,
There was sling shot, chain shot, grape shot too,
Swords and bayonets thrusting through,
Poor Johnny fell but the day was won
And the King is grateful to you
But your soldiering's done and they're sending you home,
Oh poor Johnny what have they done to ya?
They said he was a hero and not to grieve
Over two wooden pegs and empty sleeves,
They carried him home and set him down
With a military pension and a medal from the crown.
You haven't an arm and you haven't a leg,
The enemy nearly slew you,
You'll have to go out on the streets to beg,
Oh poor Johnny what have they done to ya?

What makes you go abroad fighting for strangers
When you could be safe at home free from all dangers?

I think you have the wrong end of the stick.

I am not suggesting our serviceman should have to hide away - far from it, i simply think that its a bit off that they have to travel 30 minutes for a swim, the least we can do is give them there own bloody swimming pool.

I was also not suggesting they should have to hide away from ignorant members of the public, but the fact remains the instructor had to stop the session in favour of this stupid woman. the least they deserve is there own dedicated facility where they are not answerable to halfwitted members of the public. Personally i support the view the whole pool should be closed for the exclusive use, not to hide them away but simply because they deserve it. just as they deserve there own facility.

Also where did i say they are freaks? i said they deserve to get some respect and PEACE from idiots, personally i think they should have had some MPS shoot the woman in the head, but i simply think they deserve the best we as a country can give them and that includes their own dedicated leisure facilities so we do all we can to aid their recovery to a normal a life as is possible,

they have a pool on site, but it's a high temp one more aimed at exercising rather than pure swimming. I'm sure the nearest proper pool isn't 30 minutes away though. Headley court is literally 2 minutes outside the M25 so there must be a closer pool than has been stated.

It sounds to me like the council agrees with the general sentiment of most of us. The pool is for everyone.

Maybe the other ones aren't big enough, or want more money in return for roping off a section? Or are just too busy/booked up, the closest one to my parents is constantly being used by the local schools so you have to be there after 7pm (after school clubs as well).

Wasn't this the area that originally protested about turning a house into a place for families of soldiers to stay (and promptly lost)? Sounds like the stupid cow was one of the people protesting against it and is now miserable and bitter that she didn't get her way.

Of course I did not accuse you of labelling people "freaks", I used the expression to illustrate the need to integrate the men into society as far as practical.

This is a very sensitive area and it is easy for all to misinterpret the meaning behind certain phrases.

There must be a balance between the need for a dedicated facility for the rehab of the wounded, at the same time, I feel it is necessary for the public in general to understand the effects of war on human beings.

Take a keg, I'll pitch in half. Least we could really.

How about a PH sponsored booze run to make up for that idiot, chavette scumbag? £10 each should cover it.

Anyone local want to organise it? I'm a bit far north and tied to my own hospital at the mo', but let me know where to send the cash.
I'll put in a few quid for that one too... drink

Well, a very 'middle of the road' statement, but basically agreeing the two cvnts shot their gobs off but they managed to calm things down. Glad to hear they actually admit the twunts were out of order. I shall email and offer to personally buy out the memberships of the two twots involved, if the management will officially and publicly ban them and their offspring/relatives for ever more.
