A man who spat at a burka-clad Muslim and verbally abused her has been jailed for 15 months.
Charles Adams, 23, targeted his victim on a train as she returned from an event commemorating the July 7 terror attacks on London.
Middlesex Crown Court heard he had been watching an Arsenal match at Highbury with his elder brother and dad.
Adams told mother-of four Michelle Idrees, a white Islam convert, that she had "sold out" her culture and her children would grow up to be "suicide bombers".
Judge Mr Justice Calvert-Smith told him: "You started this series of events off.
"When to your surprise, instead of cowering meekly at your abuse, she answered back you increased the venom of your abuse, culminating in what was a disgusting form of common assault by spitting in her face."
The defendant's father Mark Snr received a 30 weeks suspended prison sentence and his brother Mark Jnr was given 100 hours' unpaid work in the community for their part in the incident.

Nick I think you need to check the facts of a story/ read it properly before posting about it.
She was not a "Muslim Suicide Bomber" she was a law abiding women who had been to the commemoration, demonstrating that not all muslims agree with the radicals, for which she was attacked by this thug.

I think that spitting at another human being is a disgusting thing to do and a prison sentence is entirely reasonable for someone who basically accuses random Muslims of being suicide bombers, and then attacks them.

He got out and assulted me, spat on me, got back in his car, drove down the hard shoulder, managed to get 100 yards onto the M23 before getting pulled over by the Police (we had reported it by this point), where he promptly had an epileptic fit.
Never did hear if he ever got to court. But then, I'm only a white middle class guy.
