Seabrook Crisps, what's gone wrong?
Discussion
Salt, as in your regular sodium chloride, is a flavour enhancer but only in small quantities as it otherwise imparts its own taste.
MSG, is also a salt, albeit with a much greater flavour enhancing ability and without any noticeable flavour of its own (hence its common use)
If you take away MSG (a good thing in my book), you need to replace at least some of the flavour enhancement from somewhere else.

I don't know what the fuss is about with snack producers trying to make them more healthy. If there is a bit of salt or MSG in your crisps - who gives a toss? It's not like they are one of your five a day. If they were, my other four would be Monster Munch, Wotsits, Space Raiders and Mini Cheddars!

Thanks for remonding me.I've now added a bag of nik naks to my otherwise healthy lunch of pate, granary bread, watercress and pickle.
