I'll take whatever pox walkers you've got (seriously, there can never be enough - in the current meta a list with 100 and Typhus is really strong...), ten plague marines, the drone, putrifier, and blightspawn. First two units give me a full roster for Kill Team, last ones add to my shifting DG army.

Haven't much to trade, as you're only really interested in marines aren't you? If so, just let me know what you'd want in either dosh or kits, and I'll sort you out.

Did you want to take 11 Plague Marines - means I don't have to split any sets and you'd get 2 blight launchers?

If you've got an GW 40K scenery I'd consider it, likewise tanks and vehicles that could be used with an Ultramarines army?

OK Sway, I've taken an inventory.

Things you're interested in:

30x Pox Walkers (18 ETB, 10 Know No Fear, 2 random maybe box set). Cost to me: £30

11x Plague Marines (6 ETB, 5 Know No Fear) £25

1x Biologus Putrifier (£8)

1x Blight Drone (£8)

Total cost to me for the 43 models and 1 vehicle is £79 plus say £5 post and I can chuck in some sealed paints as well (DG Green, Abaddon Black Bugman's glow) if you like?

Things I have in addition to the above:

2x Foul Blightspawn (£8 each)
1x Myphitic Blight Hauler (£8)
1x Lord Felthius and his 4 Blightlord Terminators Cohort (£8)
1x Lord of Contagion (Know No Fear/Dark Imperium £10)

Let me know if you're interested in any or all of it. thumbup

I'm also a bit wary of letting you surprise me in return - I have visions of opening a sack full of 50 armoured container units! laugh

Sod it, I'll have the lot...

I wasn't going to surprise you - but do have some ideas for things you might like.

Are you running full Primaris or have you vets mixed in?

Wow, ok! Do you still have my PayPal address? Include your address with the payment and I'll get them sent over. thumbup

I started out with pure Primaries, but soon obtained all of them, including characters, a couple of Redemptors and mostly painted.

Then the series 1 Space Marine heroes were released so ended up getting most of them and only have a couple to finish off for a tactical squad.

Then I saw that the Storm Raven and TH Termis were a valid combination so got them plus a chaplain Dreadnought and power armour Captain and apothecary to ride with/buff them.

Then I saw how cool the relic contemptor looked, so I got that and painted that up. Then I ordered a Leviathan.

Then assassins were re released, so I ordered one of each of them.

To sum up, I have a serious plastic crack addiction, but at least I've got something like 3,000 points of Ultramarines painted up to a pretty decent standard.

Not sure what's next, but I do like the look of some of the Imperial flyers!

Cool, the flyer models are awesome - shame imperial flyers aren't so good on the table.

If it's OK with you I'll sort it once I get back?

I'll get the vanguard stuff from shadowspear sent over, that'll pay for the extras! Soon as I'm back I'll give you a shout and transfer the £85 over to cover the original list and get your my address.

A big box of new crack just as we've moved house (and my better half has unpacked my hobby room...) won't go down too well if I'm not there to smooth the waters!

Sounds good all around!

Now I just need to find the time to get some painting done. Although having said that, I'm pretty pleased with how my speed of painting has been improving.

As a kid I used to hand paint a base coat in the darkest shade, then work up in layers, mixing paints, to the extreme highlight. Could take me days to finish a single troop model and parts of it would have 5 or 6 layers of different colours on it. Now with an airbrush, shade and highlight colour premixed in the bottle I can knock out a character in a few hours to a decent standard.

I now have a hobby room! Just four more large rubbermaid tubs to unpack...

Desk will form the base of a gaming table - currently deciding between making a modular format for the three board sizes I need, or three "toppers". Better half will be 'reimagining' it and it should look really cool when done.

There's then an alcove that will be setup for airbrush work, with extraction through the adjacent window.

In theory, this will mean I'll have a painting station and gaming table (plus everything easily to hand) to make the most of even small doses of free time...

Looks great, am very jealous. I need to grow a set and convince the other half to let me use our spare room as a modelling room.

Would certainly clean up our kitchen table that looks like a GW store stock cupboard!

Thought you guys might like to see how my Ultramarines army is getting on? Setting it out last night I was surprised just how quickly it'd grown!

Still got a Leviathon and a few Rhinos/Razorbacks/Predators plus the Vanguard Primaris to add in the next few weeks.

Where can you pre-order the Shadowspear box from? I didn't think it would be up until tomorrow.

Tis a shame I didn't poke my nose in here earlier!

You're right, it's out for pre-order tomorrow - I've just already agreed to split it with someone. smile

Which armies do you collect?

If you're friendly with your local store, then you get first dibs on their allocations... wink

For a smurf army youngsyr, that looks bloody good!

When you start getting the mechanised elements, you've gotta do the big white roof symbols - always loved the look of that on the old White Dwarf dioramas.

Not just big white roof symbols, got the doors and front plate to go on as well! wink

That's the nice thing about Ultramarines - they have a huge amount of bespoke sculpts for them.

True. It's the primary incentive for an Ultras army...

I'm loving the new chapter specific sculpts coming from ForgeWorld though... The Blood Angels dreadnoughts are stunning.

Currently, Death Guard, Ad Mech and Ultramarines (from the Conquest sub). I like the look of the models from the Shadowspear box, so will likely pick it up.

I fancy the idea of running my Death Guard as a Black Legion faction (in paint anyway, and lore wise I have no doubt some Death Guard have pledged to Abaddon), and therefore potentially having an actual Black Legion detachment as part of that army would work. Plus I really like the new Abaddon model.

Same with the Ultramarines, considering using them as a detachment with the Ad Mech to deal with some of their deficiencies depending on what the 30K to 40K rules addition for the Forgeworld stuff actually brings. Plus since I have them, its cheaper than buying Knights (that I will probably get as well at some point).

Of course, with my sizeable painting back log, buying new things is probably bad..laugh

Edit - How the hell I misspelt Abaddon so badly, I'll never know.

There absolutely are plague marines (who aren't necessarily all Death Guard, but plenty of DG got pissed off with the whining between Morty and Typhus and buggered off to go pillaging) in the Black Legion - and Abaddon will likely be a massive force multiplier for any Chaos Space Marine force... Much like Guilleman is for anything Imperial.

It's unfortunate Shadowspear comprises new factions (Daemonkin and Vanguard SM) - as then we're looking at yet another detachment, yet another book, and a pain in the arris remembering all the rules (and importantly, the exclusions...).

The exact opposite of GW's stated intent with 8th. Quelle surprise!

Models look stunning though. I'm waiting for the proper kits to be released, as they'll make great bitz supplies for conversions for my Kill Team dudes.

Also, going to be really, really hard to resist plugging in a 750pt Battalion of Raven Guard vanguard marines - that is a vicious combination of traits and rules that mean many armies simply cannot hit them.

Oh, and then there's a pull for an assassin det too. Might actually start to see fewer Castellan on the competitive tabletop.
