A lie detector test? It has all gone a bit Jeremy Kyle hasn't it? I can't see how that will stack up even though it was independent. It was in Russia, people have expected skullduggery in the past with samples etc. I think there is a chance his samples might have been tampered with or someone put something into the water etc. I struggle to see a positive outcome as how do you prove it? I don't see how a lie detector test holds any weight here.
The 'bigger picture' is that boxing desperately needs to sort out it's drug testing. The same as just about any other sport then.

Felix Sturm looks like he's failed a drugs test after the Chudinov fight:

Disappointing to read. Unless Sturm successfully appeals, it'll be interesting to see whether the WBA return the belt to Chudinov (who quite a few feel was robbed of the title in the first place) or declare it vacant. If the latter, you'd hope Chudinov would be given first crack at it, and there's an outside chance that George Groves might be in the opposing corner given his recent win of the 'International' title.
On a related subject, Lucas Browne apparently passed a lie detector test around his failed drugs test. Be interesting to see if that carries any weight...

sturm is adamant he didn't take anything.....knowingly......http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/felix-sturm-fails-...

i read an australian article talking about browne's potential legal suit. he is arguing that vada performed a pre fight A test that showed negative. can't remember the rest of the article i'll have to dig it out
Joshua's first defence has been dated for June then.
Brezeale, dauhapus, and Molina front runners.
Looking at the IBF top 15 there isn't a lot of options, Teper has a drugs ban hanging over him, Parker and takam are fighting each other and so are chisora and pulev, glazkov is injured, Martin just beaten by AJ, Haye is fighting next month, Ruiz is fighting someone, and so is Miller. So that basically leaves the 3 above as Stiverne my personal choice to fight him has dropped out of the rankings.
Molina and dauhapus both went rounds with wilder so there will be the angle of Joshua finishing them quicker but they'll want to access the yank market so that's dauhapus out. Leaves finish Molina early ur another big hitting big yank heavyweight whose undefeated but unproven in Brezeale.

Gary Russell Jr looked fast and dangerous last night. I don't fancy Lee Selby's chances against that kind of power.
He certainly looked impressive though clearly in with limited opposition. Featherweight is shaping up to be the most competitive division of the lot - Lomachenko, Santa Cruz, Russell jr, Walters, Selby, and with Frampton expected to step up as well...some brilliant potential match-ups amongst that collective!Fittster said:

To me the GGG fight reminded me of the AJ fight in many ways. Total mismatch
The ref should have stopped it at the 2nd knockdown (first one in round 2) imho
Who can match him (and will step into the ring with him)? The ref should have stopped it at the 2nd knockdown (first one in round 2) imho
as per the post fight interview golovkin intends to stay at middleweight for now. i jump of two weight classes in one hit would be daft. there has been talk of him going after hopkins record of consecutive middleweight defences and on the face of it he could unify and then do all the mandatiories until the next generation of middleweights come on the scene......because he's too far ahead of this current crop,

The 30-year-old Breazeale, who competed at the 2012 Olympic Games where Joshua won his gold medal, will travel to London’s 02 Arena for his first fight at world level.
His selection as Joshua’s opponent comes after a long period of him being monitored as a potential challenger, according to the champion.
Breazeale has a 17-0 record with 15 of those coming by way of knockout."

From the link about Joshua
"It has also been confirmed that British super middleweight George Groves will fight domestic rival Martin Murray on the Joshua-Breazeale undercard in an eliminator for the WBA title."
That will be a good fight if the real groves turns up!
Joshua v Wilder should see Joshua holding two belts...with ease.

George groves vs martin Murray will be a great match up, a dangerous bout for both guys careers, the looser could well be sent into retirement, it'll be a fascinating build up, both guys have good support and could easily bring many thousands of fans with them where ever they go.
I'd like to see Eubank Jnr have a go a GGG, anyone who takes him on is going to get good kudos in the business and its a win win, plus a good show by eubank may force BJS to make the rematch.

no doubt groves is a better "boxer" than murray.....but murray is one hard,.hard man. i see groves outpointing martin for a lot of the contest but murray's creep forward may eventually catch up to groves. i'm not saying he's a ko artist but he punches hard enough to get the other guy's respect.....and groves has shown a crystal skull a few times in the past.
i'd be really surprised if groves could stop murray in his tracks.....it took golovkin 11 rounds to wear him down and stop him....
