Carrying a laptop

I usually use panniers for my commute, though I don't always carry my laptop. However after a few lucky escapes when I've hit potholes, speedbumps, etc and the pannier has detached itself from the bike & gone bouncing down the road; I have now switched to using a rucksack whenever I carry my laptop.

You soon forget about the extra weight on your back and I don't find that my back ends up any sweatier than using my panniers.
