First of all bare in mind that Event Management jobs are not actually very glamourous. It's a lot of heavy admin and booking people's travel and the events themselves might be boring corporate things. The companies that do the likes of the Brit Awards or something like that are few and far between.

But, if you have your heart set on it, send a message to PH member 'nutsoncars' who runs an events recruitment company in London.

I'll echo what E36GUY said, not glamorous at all.

I worked in Live music for 15 years - it was very hard work and not the life I set out to live or wanted to live.

Each to their own, but I'm glad to be out of it smile

so true!!! Im amazed how many people see it, go ohh I wanna do that, then you show them the months leading upto it the paper admin etc etc and they soon realise.

How ever if you are truely interested all the best for the future !!!

I've been in the industry for 20 years. Almost regardless of what sort of events you're involved in (corporate, rock & roll, public etc.) they can be both hugely stressful and rewarding in equal measure. Of course, it largely depends on your role in such events too.

I'm fortunate in that most of my work is automotive, so it's coals to Newcastle for me smile

Matt, I'm based just north of London. I'm prepared to travel within reason.
